Hi and welcome to
Kathy's Family Child Care Home.
On this page I
would like to say
a little about myself and my
Family Home Child
Care.
My name is Kathy
and I have a wonderful
husband named Mark.
Together we have three children,
James 19, Jessica 11,
and David 8 years old.
The pets within the home are
a dog, named Buddy.
He is a 2 year old Keeshound.
Two parakeets named
Blue and Green.
I can't forget the
best kitty in the world,
Kitty Kit 6 years old.
In Loving Memory
Of my Grandma
I have been doing Family Child Care for
the past 8 years. I have tried many other types
of jobs and I find taking care of children to be the most rewarding.
To see the children's bright smiles
each morning is a marvelous way to start off each
new day. It is extremely important to me
that the children in my care feel loved and secure.
I am a member of the
Southeastern Family Childcare
Providers Association
and the National Association for
Family Child Care.
I believe that it is very important for a
childcare provider to belong to an Association.
Sharing with other providers gives me new ideas
and new understandings about
how children learn and grow.
It also provides a way to have a good support
from others that go through the same demands daily.
At this time I am working on my childcare
Accreditation through the
National Association for Family Child Care
( NAFCC)
Accreditation distinguishes those
providers who offer exceptional child care
services that meet national standards
established by the profession. Beginning on October 4th, 1999
Kathy's family Child Care Home
will become an infant home.
I will only care for 3 children
between the ages of birth to one year.
By specializing in infants I will be
able to focus my training to the
developmental needs of infants.
Plus I will be able to help fill
a great need within my community.
